Default High pressurepump sensor thread lekkage

Dear members,

car : Polo 1.2 Ti 2015

I'm noticing that there is fuel leaking from the highpressure pump on my vw polo. The exact location of the leakage is at the high pressure sensor mounted on top (view picure for clarity).

My question to everyone in here is:

Can I remove the sensor and redo the sealing on a cold motor or is there always 'high pressure' even at the sensor and if I remove the sensor to remount it (leakage from the threads going outside) do i get an error that I need to clear or not?

Any help on this would be amazing as I'm not familiar with this kind of component and thus didn't just remove it to take a look.
