Default Electrical problems, trying to identify some wires and plugs

Good day, long time since i've been here now!

anyhow, this is the case..

i got a 88mod GTI 16v (KR, CE1) which i've overhauled the engine on.. and the PO had pretty much hacked the living shit out of the wiring loom. so i got some problems to deal with now

the car runs fine, but won't idle

there are a few wires thats going to no where, so i believe this might be the problem, and i don't know where they are going, don't have pics of the wire ends. but i've got a pic of this mystery connector

hopefully some of you know how this is wired

as said, the car in question is a 88 GTI 16v

KR engine
CE1 Wiring

Heres the pic, thanks in advance
Dan

well, i've been doing some more research today, and it turns out that two of the wires (BLue/white and black/white) goes to a 3-pin connector on top of the gearbox, and its not connected to anything. but they come out of the same sleeve as the reverselight connector
