Deze foto's zaten bij een advertentie die ik ooit een keer gevonden heb. Deze tekst stond erbij:

This one is being sold at the moment, the ad says: Volkswagen Stiftung Museum in Wolfsburg has authenticated that this 82eBeetle was built for Hermann Goering in January 1944. The car was fitted with deluxe chrome bumpers, hubcaps and handles and deluxe white bakelite plastic parts. The front trunk was factory weatherproofed to keep contents dry in driving rains. The engine, braking system, floor pans, seats, instrument cluster, cogwheel pod, cogwheel crest, transmission and axles are originals. The engine has been removed, compression checked, engine auxiliaries rebuilt and re-installed. The car runs well. The car has not been restored but has newer paint on the exterior. An 82e consists of a normal type 60 Beetle factory installed on top of a Kubelwagen type 82 drive train and suspension. $120,000 US. Currently titled in Kansas USA Here's the link: www.milweb.net/webverts/6959/

De link doet het helaas niet meer, maar op deze site staan nog wel een paar Iltissen en een Munga... http://www.milweb.net/classifieds.php?type=2
