little update on a few small projects

1st: those beat up RH's i got from Gert a few weeks back... took off the paint of the lips. now waiting to get in the polish stuff (i was pretty pleased with what i found under the paint)

2nd:
free recaro.
got it from my mom's neighbour and was used in a wheelchair, that's why the bottom was replaced by a piece of wood and the headrest is gone.. i plan on using it in my mk1

3rd:

my new custom burglarproof centerconsole..
i used a Votex console.. glued and screwed in my new stereo.
after that i used window glue (the strong stuff, i also used it on my G60 flares) to secure it all in place and get rid of the gaps between the stereo and console. i also used a mk1 jetta panel for the top DIN. i made 2 holes for my (also new) electric window controllers) and also secured that panel with windowglue..
it's drying now and once dried i'll paint it all black again (including the stereo surround)

last: 2 more pics
1 of the GTI "stuffed animal thingy" i got from Chris (his wife made him get rid of it, and i thought it's funny as hell)
and another one of my fav pic of my coupe i had made into a poster.
(i mostly made this pic because i was amazed at the good quality of the poster company with just a so-so digital pic)

please don't comment on the crap in the room.. i know the VW parts are taking over

little bee's been busy....
good job... what kind of window sealer was that?

the Zettex stuff you once gave me, it was almost dried out so i had to cut the container in half to scoop out the stuff :p

Looks horrible,.....

but the black paint will do the trick quite nicely I reckon.

nice....the stuff you have to do to park your car in R'dam...

Those RH's are coming along nicely

I thought you had a complete stealth set-up. Guess your average car-burglar doesn't see from the outside that the radio is glued down? So they still BREAK and enter your car, and might rip-up something once they know they've been 'had'.

yeh still have the stealth set-up, and once this is painted black it will be pretty stealth too. but i had this new deck, a new console, and new power windows, so something had to change :p i'm pretty convinced they'll leave this alone.
