i disagree most of the europeon conversions, run on psa , ignitoir system ,thats a peugot 205 gti distribuiter or similair ones, it mechanical changes its preset ignitor time,,,

The bosch peugeot 205 gti ignition will fit direkt on to the 16v head.
Original distributorcap can be used.
Do keep in mind that it doesn't have a reff limiter. :D
Also use the wiring and ignitionmodule from the 205.

Good luck with the conversion.

i agree it's better to use a different ignition, but it isn't necessary.
Webers run fine on stock KR ignition, as long as you hook up the vacuum at the right point (which is right by the throttle, not on the manifold)

You can use a super basic ignition too.

all factory parts.

Coil, 16v distributor, ignition control module.

You won't get any advantages of ignition timing.

I carry the harness in my glove box next to the lingerie.... because non of my women wear gloves.
