new daily, 4 rings 5 cylinders
Couldn't help myself.
imported from Germany last year by Chris(py). I liked this thing from the day he bought it, but i wasn't really looking for a new car. untill he gave me the keys and said; "just take it out for a spin and tell me what you think" When i came back 15 minutes later it was sold. Got it with the Ronal turbo's too. Told him i couldn't pick it up untill the daily Jetta was sold. Well that's sold and will be picked up next tuesday. So today was the day to pick up my new joy... (the pride part will come after the rust is gone) what do you guys think?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Like I said in Dutch, sweet ride Tjaap.....!!!!
Good luck Lars |
Cool car Jaap
Remnds me of a baddies car in the James Bond movies :D |
I totally love it, Jaap! The old 10-valve 5 cylinder engines are entoxicating, in the sense that you become heavily addicted to them.
Are the Ronals 4x108, btw? Let me know if you want to sell them. Seriously! |
yes they are 4X108.. and i def don't wanna sell them, sorry.. they were about half of the price of this deal :lmao:

Well, not now, you don't, but maybe in the future? Please keep it in mind and let me know if you are going to sell them, or the car, in a year or three. |
You Audiphile Per :D
|
Not only Audiphile, I'm an Audiholic! I'm Auddicted to them :D

And speaking of white Type 43s, here's a white 1977 for sale in Norway. 15000 NOK (kroners) is around 1850 Euros. It looks to be in pretty decent shape as well. This one's equipped with the 2,0 4-banger, shared with the VW LT and Porsche 924. Too bad I don't have room for another car :(

ooooh nice.. love the interior too.. but don't let Chris see this, cause i paid no-where close to that..
|
Cool ride Jaap! I'm jealous about the engine
The Ronal wheels rocks  |
Per, do you know what other cars it shares platforms with? might Passat lowering fit?
or do you know of a company that makes anything for these? |
Just like Polos, Golfs and Audi 80s, Audi didn't change much of the chassis during the model changes. What this means is that this 100 (Type 43/C2) shares the chassis with the 100 Type 44/C3 and 100/A6 Type 4A/C4.
I don't know how important it is for you guys to have approval on parts like lowering springs (TÜV is needed here in Norway), but if you don't, you should be able to install lowering springs from a Type 44 without any problems at all. |
TUV, what's that... ;) no problems here mate

true :(

Well, maybe this is something for you ;) ![]() Never seen an Audi 100 in 2door configuration  |
Damnit!
Need to go dry out the keyboard now... Yeah, 2-doors do exist, but they are very rare, I think they are even more rare than the Avant. Here's a 2-door converted to a 200, complete with the turbo engine. The 200 was never made as a 2-door. ![]() And here's an Avant, also built to 200 specs. As with the 2-door, the 200 wasn't made as an Avant either. ![]() Rear end of the Avant. ![]() I might as well put in a little bit of trivia as well. The car that became the 100 Avant wasn't actually supposed to become an Audi at all. It was supposed to be a Volkswagen, a model slotted in above the Passat range, but the bosses in Wolfsburg thought otherwise, and the car became the 100 Avant. |
the red one is spottless. but it isn't cheap, plus it's a 1.6 automatic.. with 1200KG's that can't be fast...
|
Who needs to drive fast when you drive in style?
