1986 Golf CL
this car was from Aachen, bought new in March 1986 from Franz Schmidt, then taken to England and registered in April 1986. It has only had 3 owners since new. I bought it from eBay UK in March 2007.

This will be a real nice golf, not like al the other mk2's :) Mostly these kind of restaurations are done with a mk1 golf :) Keep up the good work. |

that hubcap on the air-intake won't clear the hood right? nice idea though, and i LOVE the idea of the ceilinglight in the C-Console.
and the plate is perfect. must have set you back a pretty penny. |
hubcap on airfilter tin will not clear the hood when closed, but i have another for when i close the hood, the beetle hubcap idea is only for the hood up and show only. originally i was going to chrome the standard Knecht/ Mann airfilter tin, until we realised the hubcap is almost the same size. its only a custom trick really
|
i think cutting only about an inch from the bottom of the hubcap would clear the hood. then maybe weld/solder it to a spare filter and chrome that together?

|
wow! nice car..
what kind of interiour is that! i really! liked id!.. nice color great car!!!!!! love it! |
the interior is the standard Golf CL interior, but re-trimmed in vinyl and tweed fabric, it was meant to look older, like a Type3 or Karmann Ghia, so thats why i lost the head rests on the front seats, thanks for the comments, guys, i appreciate it
|
you got more pictures of the car ?
I love it ;-) |
