sup.. any more info about yourself and your car???
|
here is a teaser ;) |
I see what you did there....
|
OK so details are:
1978 Rabbit L with 48K on the odo. Purchased in Seattle & shipped to the east coast. ...Needless to say she was an experiment into MK1's that went from your basic "learn & restore" to OEM+ shaved 16v on carbs with every single nut and bolt and piece of metal either reworked, chromed, or powdercoated. 3 years into this build and I am on my 3rd body shop. I've learned so much. She is nearing the point of reassembly and I am stoked. I wont release any pics until she is complete. After 3 years, I've come to realize you cannot rush perfection ;) -Paul |
love the signature... but tell me.. no-one DRINKS stroh 80... hell i used to clean the lense of my cd player with it :lmao:
|
HAHAH :D
Here in the States, we cant get Stroh 80 in quite a few states, not to mention the fact that those that carry it do not carry anything else but Stroh 80 (none of the variations). I simply love that smooth taste to it. Definitely my favorite rum... and I love rum ;) |
you came to the right place,.. the VF crew has a rum fetish too |
i absolutely adore rum ;)
just celebrated a birthday and had some tasty rum cake with some stroh ;) |
Welcome! please post some more teasers...this is volksforum you can't post a project thread without pics...
please.... :postpics: |
well if you insist.... :D
|
That ain't gonna do it for me :(
|
I think its a mk1 :D
|
updates?
...just waiting for the Chrome Gods to finish up all my parts :D |
ok its a golf ;) almost ready for paint! |
why the audi 80 doorhandles?
|
I've always liked the look of the audi handles and wanted something a little different and something that goes with the smoothed out look... something that compliments the lines of the car, unlike the standard door handles (in my opinion).
Simply stated, I wanted something different. I would have done them with the key locks if I could do them over again. Thanks, -Paul |
always liked the audi handles..
|
Hope to see that car in person... someday..
|
HAHAH Ivan ;)
So here we are, at the point where all the time I spent making sure all my parts are ready and together for reassembly.... well... that is the way its supposed to be! :/ If it was for Tom (Big Caddy) helping me out.... She wouldnt be halfway where she is now..... that is partially due to me being 400 miles away from her. 3 years.... and its all starting to come together ..... oh yeah!! :D |
