he's familiar with Ikea, so building a car like this is peanuts...

martiepartie 03-06-2009 12:52

an audi90 quattro does not have huge loads of power and is quite heavy in original trim, what would it do with that extra amount of kilograms?

Strange kind of patchwork principle, but really nice work!

GerardMkIIVR6 03-06-2009 13:01

Bondo'R'Us :D
But damn what a job.

there's a v8 lump in there ;)

martiepartie 03-06-2009 13:12

ah, didn't look at all the pictures.. With a V8 it probably goes round quite fast :D

to drag all that extra weight of the steel extensions around :D

loco-vr6 18-06-2009 12:44

amzing job :wow: , but, i geus he´s just building a model to later on use it for fabricating fiberglass bodypanels? otherwise this construction is going to double, if not triple, the total weight of the body. nevertheless, huge loads of patience is needed for this kind of patchwork :D or a very patient girlfriend.. :sly:

this gives an new meaning to the term ´spot repair´ :D

Bernie & Leepu come in to my mind...:screwy:

Richard 19-10-2012 15:22

such a project and such a shame with the v8 in it... the imsa 90 was respected only because of the imsa engine.. not a boring a8 4.2...

Audi1981 19-10-2012 19:12

Beautifull car the IMSA/Transam Audi...

Wasn't the fantastic Dahlback Golf based on a IMSA drivetrain ?
