And the 'no front licenceplate thingy': is this a standard USA/Ami kind-o-thing?

the front plate piece is just a "us spec" filler pannel for the "euro spec" plate frame recess in teh bumper. the us bumpers and euro sold bumpers are all the same. thats a kind of old pic. i need to get some new pic's i made my own "lip" for the bumper kind of like a VR style lips the mk3's use. only not made of hard plastic. anyhoot, i also have one of the early TT's w/ no rear spoiler(long story but it dosnt have one!). my list of mod's is so long i dont think i coudl post it all on the internet at 1 time w/ out crashing the while internet. ahahaha..... yeahsomething like that. for now the car dosnt run but the down time will be worth it for what i have up my sleeve....

I never understood why they put up the duck-tail spoiler anyway: They should have done the rear-spoiler mod like they did with the new TT: an electric folding one.

check out the extra webbing on my motor... not your run of the mill 1.8t.. its also got under piston oil squierts. fun stuff...

The rods, where did you got them from?

hum..... the car started life as a 00' quattro 180hp.

injecton/block im using is from a 03' quattro 225

turbo/tuning is all custom

tranny is in the shop not sure what i will end up w/ just yet may be a 6spd (w/ a larger than the OE 5th gear so i can get a higher top speed) may endup w/ a few other tricks.... just depends on what "fits" once the tranny guy starts playing w/ it.

over all only parts OE in teh car is teh heating/ac system/steering rack/dash/front seats/and window regulators. basicly all other parts hav ebean tweaked in som way.

i addedup my receepts for the car theoter night (took 3hrs) and iv spent about as much in parts on the car so far as my house cost. and it still dosnt run! ahahha.... aww fun fun... im going to have to start to put babys up for sale to finish this damn thing.

i built the motor over the weekedn. and by me and built i mean i gaped my rings, installed new rod's and put teh whole thing togehter..... fun times..

but basicly in a nut shell. i got the car about 70% built over the weekend.

new motor is built and in, new tranny is in, new cooling system has been created (had to adapte a few diffrent cars worth teh shit to work in my car), APR stg-3+ is installed, front mount oil cooler installed (needs oil lines to be built still ug...), batter relocated to trunk, and other odd's and ends taken care of.

i spent somethign like 38hrs of the 48hr weekend in my shop busting my ass....... cant wait to see how this thing runs.

i shoul dhave all the stainlless steel on my soor step when iget home so i can start bulding the ehxaus tsystem and the rest of the intake system. the oil lines will be made by a local shop soon (i hope), and i hope to pick up my custom intake manifold from being tig welded together today or tommrow. ......

fun shit!........ cant wiat to go do some 4 wheel burn outs..

welp....... its about to be a running POS...... i finished up tig welding the intake manifold last nghit, and got a lot of issues worked out. funny thing is i dont even know yet if the car will start when i trun the key ahahah...... list of thigns left is kind of big but not aas big as it could be. basicly iv got to fabrocate the exhaust system, fab up a good aprt of the duct work, built a few harnus to plug adaptors for a few sensors, install the 3rd fuel pump (yeah there are 3 freaking fuel pumps on this pos), finish up the trunk moutned battery install, get fresh fuel for the car (its got 1/8th of a tank righ tnwo and its about 3 years old balh... yuko), weld up a CV flange i dmaged w/ a gridner.. dont ask..., and lots of other odd's and ends........ shoul dmake for one hell of a busy night...... but it sur ebeats sleeping right!..... i can almost smell the 4 wheel burnouts....

i dunno... i really love sleeping ;)
