I know of a black one that needs a bit of paint. Good sills, nice black leather trim, standard motor, i'll have to check the miles.
|
Sounds interesting. I dont mind the paintwork not being the best, as long as its mechanically fine.
|
It is the blue one i've seen before. I'll make a couple of calls see what i can come up with.

nice... welcome.. that's some serious hardware!
|
Im still searching for one! preferably black or dark blue/green/grey. May be going to look at G885 YNF today, its a NON-runner and needs lots of work, but Id love to save it!
|
Does it have to be a UK-car or are you willing to import one from the mainland?
|
I would prefer one already registered in the uk although I havent ruled anything out. Dont know much about importing cars or how much extra it would cost me.
|
Importing is pretty straightforward if you have the proper registration docs. The hardest part is getting the car over.
Mine was from Germany and I only had one complication in registering it. The original German reg doc was missing the date of production but the DVLA accepted a letter from VW stating it and getting that was suprisingly easy (phoned VW UK and they sent one within a week) |
Interesting cheers for that.
|
could you update mine please

It was used for 1 year by the VW garage owner in Germany, then it sat in the showroom for 16 years, It was then sold to a dealer in London who then sold it to Marty in Glasgow who i purchased it of. It really is immaculate pictures dont do it justice, never been out in the rain and its as clean underneath as it is on top :) I have wanted a Rallye for years and was lucky enough to have the money to buy this one, Its now going to be an expensive ornament lol, but one thats going to be cherished by me  It has electric recaro's and electric windows. it was supplied from the factory with Oz turbo wheels which i have also. Allan. here it is in the showroom with original plates ![]() |

Rallye nr 042
![]() Owner: Unknown Enginenumber: 1H?????? Current license plate: G142 EJH Color: Blau Perleffekt (LC5Z) Remarkabilities: None This is mine. Bought it a few years back and just found this thread!! Still the same as in the pic, although needing painted due to showing its age now. 2 previous owners, 1 German, 1 from Scotland, then me. No plans to sell and have a few plans to bring back up to scratch. The Recaro's need the leather redone, paint, and strip both axles from it and get them powder coated. So it's off the road for now with some plans ahead. |

Nice  |
hello thee, i would like to give some more info on the red rally nr 033. Registration is still BOY85T. It is my dads, his name is Chris Marr, is off the road at the moment having some major work done. it is a 20vt conversion originally owned by jabbasport. it was bought by my dad and the work has continued with many parts being upgraded changed etc, the most notable, visually, being the conversion to standard round golf headlights, the square rally ones were awful. the car should be back on the road in the next couple of years, my dad now has alzheimers and cannot drive but my brother and i are pushing it forward and will return it to the road, track, and shows as soon as its done. We should be looking at around 500bp once mapped correctly etc.
thank you for putting this register together, such a great idea. |
Very good info thanks.
Keep us updated and all the best for your dad. |
