Good to finally see you on here!

I sure did, the quattro is amazing! :D I have to tell you guys, I was seriously afraid that I'd pull the 50 in half, it was so rotten that when we jacked the front end of the 50 up (to remove the calipers so the wheels would roll), the front end was actually lifted more than the car itself. The area around the A-pillars and firewall was so rusted that the car got bent under it's own weight  We could also look directly into the glove compartment from the outside... |
yes, and when we wehere throwing what was left og the car when I had picket the parts I needed, we tried to lift it with a crane and it actually broke into two halves :)
well, lets continue on the telling of a derby story: the car was driven into the paint shop an we gave it 3 layers of base paint and 3 layers of laquer.. was very pleased with the result.. :D ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
I can only describe it in a few words, but I cant make a choice
Beautifull, amazing, great, miracle............ Keep us posted!!! |
thanks ;)

Smoooth..
You did think of an emergency opening methode, in case the electric opener fails? PS: -> Click Gallery, choose 'upload picture', select your picture(s), choose the right catagory (that would be polo I guess), and host your images here.. |
ey cool project,
I wish I found an audi 50 in the woods!!! Mine is allmost completing its restauration, of to the painter within 2 weeks, /jealous |
yes, I have mounted a steel wire to pull in if the opener should fail.. I realized if that should happend without me having the wire, a tin can opener would be my only way out :)
I'll se if I can get the pictures hosted on the gallery.. the telling of a derby story still continiues: after a few days of mounting, the car looked like this: still a lot of things to do.. the chrome on the front is not put on yet, in there lies a little surprise ;) and much more.. I also have new wheels now :) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Great project, nice of you to save an old polo :)
keep up the good work ;) |
thanks.. new rims are under restauration.. ready to be sandblasted and polished:
![]() changed to 239mm ventet brakes using golf1 carriers and VWII caliper.. ![]() ![]() The front is slightly altered ;) the rest of the chromelists will also be put on within the next few days.. ![]() buiyng a set of 175/50 13 tyres this weekend.. cant wait to get som wheels on this car ;) |
