Default The first car ride of your life?

When you were newborn, what was the first car ride of your life? And, what year was this? Post pics!

My first ride was in 1974, the car was this 1964 VW 1500 Variant.

my mom's first car was an orange 2CV.. but i'm not 100% sure she still had it when i was born.
i'm sure i've had rides in this though
(pic from the net but same color)

this was in 1981... but as mentioned could be 82 if the 2CV was still there..

My first ride was in the London Taxi which my parents drove back then, they named it 'Betsy'.
They say it was a pretty baby friendly car, you could just roll in my strawler without folding it up.

Mum eventually got tired of sitting in the back though, it had only one front seat and that was still in the original enclosed driver's cabin

First car we had when I was born was this Saab 96 LE #11 of the 125 built, he bought it new when he won the lottery, he still owns it:

My dad used to let me drive on his lap (just steering) in our opel ascona, we bought it for 100 guilders and never broke down on us, rusted as hell, but nobody cared back then..

First drive by myself was in my cousins Renault 9:

And then when I turned 15 I used to drive a Toyota Landcruiser at my work, off road with a trailer, I worked on a ski slope in summer so driving up the hill with this thing was cool:

(looked like this not exactly the right model though...)

When I was born in 1979 my father (and grandfather) drove a maroonbrown Renault 6:

When I was 4 years old one backdoor fell out of the hinges (rusted out) and he was so mad he immediately bought a new car....This made quite an impression on me back then.....But not anymore, since it was an Escort MK3 1.1 Laser

Exactly like this but without the chrome and with cheaper steelies + caps....

First car I ever drove was his successor, a newer Escort MK5 1.3 CL (1990). Such a crappy vehicle I don't feel like searching for a picture

First ride ever has been in this immaculate escort mk3, which was brand new. Bought it in februari '82, I was thrown out in april . The only brand new car my mum and dad ever purchased. From there on (and before) only secondhand cars were on our driveway. They drove it for a long time, think for about 6 years.

Lots of French cars among you guys!

I asked the same question on a Norwegian VW/Audi forum, and there are clearly more German, Swedish and Japanese cars up here, but not that many French or Italian cars.
