question about 2E crank

I have question about crankshaft from 2.0 8v GTI 115ks tall block - engine code 2E

is crank from that engine forged or cast?

I opened 2E engine, crank is forged!

I think every 2E and ABA from mk3 2.0 have a forged crank.
