Sorry mate not had much time in the last month. Been doing 11.5hr days thanks to people being off work and them not thinking about covering it.

Have found some doors for it tho.

From this rallye

Now i'm back from holiday i've got to crack on with the bodwork and get it ready for the bodyshop.

Also just got myself another ebay bargain. A Storm Developments six branch stainless manifold. Only used for a thousand miles on TUK Customs car.

Should get me everso closer to that elusive 300bhp?

This car is going to be packed with loads of nice goodies. Really looking forward to see it in real life. Elsecar 2011 a possibility or will you still be in the build by that time?

TOUCHDOWN.

After 4 years of axle stands and looking like a rallye country, she's back on her own 4 feet.

Due to crappy weather i cant get it out the garage till next week. So painter's coming then.

How she looks at the mo. Excuse the mess, it was all hidden under the car.

Need to wind the front down a bit

Back is deffinately going to need some spacers. And that is with the camber adjusters set all the way back.

Well finally off to the paint shop today.

Some pics from a couple of weeks ago when me and a friend turned it round on my steep drive.

Then once turned round i got the engine out again. Rocker cover off to powdercoat and inlet off to be painted.

Off to the paint shop

I need to know what you did to the tunnel to fit the shifter from an mk4. What did you cut, how much did you cut,did you lower the hight of the tunnel and some pictures of the tunnel finished would be nice.

I had to cut the top off the tunnel and use the tt one, because the tt dash is mounted from there and it popped over the windscreen. There is a how to guide on dubforce.net which shows how to fit a mk4 shifter using polo parts. You dont have to mod the tunnel at all.

Finally got some done. They have been working on an old XR3 that went in before mine so now its full on rallye time.

Bulk head welded up and parts added like steering column surround and air con hole.

Tryed out the 20mm spacers on the back.

Passenger side sill removed.

Replaced

Tunnel welded up

Drivers side all cut out ready for the new one.

And found some seats for it. Full electric. 3 position memory settings. Heated and air scalf.

And got one of these for it now.

Yeah i was shocked considering the original sill repairs could be dated from the newspaper used in the paper mache.

Underneath is fine.
