Clas his one
VIN: 1763009984 builded in oktober 1975, but because the VIN with a 6 as third number it's also a car from the modelyear 1976 (that modelyear started in august 1975). Clas bought his car from the first owner, it's first registration was in september 1976 (!) because the vehicle was before running at VW as a work car. Documents available. Clas his car was full restored by him, he has an thread with pics. about the restorationworks on the Golf 1 IG site: restaurationworks on Clas his swallowtail Golf He asked me friendly to redirect his thread about the restaurationworks to here, soon that thread will be updated by him with pics. and more info!

Hi,
Here's mine:        Here's the info about the car: VIN: 1753434193 Car is built: july 1975 1st registration: 14 october 1975 Model: Golf L Color: Marino Yellow L20A Engine: 1.1 litre 50 HP engine code FA Interior: Green leatherette/cloth Original extra: Rear fog light It's an original Dutch car (no import) I ordered a birth certificate from the Volkswagen Museum, then I have some more info about the car and the extra's. Car has most details a swallowtail should have, but I do need some things. (Passenger seat, heater control panel, switches behind steering wheel, better door cards) It needs restauration because the welding that has been done in the past is not how it should be. It now has a 1.3 litre engine.(60 HP) It only has 5 of the 15 fuses and even then I drove it home! I'm thinking about putting a 1.3 litre engine in it with 75 HP and a 5 speed gearbox, but that's in the far future. Menno Hofman Ps.
