Default Amish Raga's - GTI 16V from South Africa

Hi guys

So last year i bought this POS i was supposed to make it drive and sell it!
That plan didn't go very well! Ended up stripping it down and rebuilding it!
If you do something you should do it properly!
So i towed her home and realized wat a deep whole i dug for myself! I was saving a dub so it was all good!
Since then i've done a few things, the body was in fair condition, the panels which are damaged have been
replaced, the bonnet has been replaced with a new oem, the fenders are being trimmed and repainted!
The doors are also at the spray shop,i have the shell at home so i can at least carry on with the rest of the building!
I have stripped the engine and rebuilt it,i used oversized pistons and a long block sub assembely, the had has a
little work, and a set of 268's have been thrown in! Air is fed Via a audi vr throttle body, so the tps can be utilized also!
Its has a standalone ecu, running a blend of map and tps.
Here are a few pictures i was hoping i could get here up and running this week but its been so busy at work! And its winter here!
I still need to fit the fuel pump, neaten up the wiring, and do all the plumbing! I have ordered all the belts and pipes so hopefully i
wll have all the parts by the w/end!

here are the pictures from day 1!

oh my goodness its a bucket hey!  oh no it gets worst look at the interior

they used to be vr6 seats!

after a little cleaning!

its still a bucket!

here it is after a few months!

Polished a few things in the engine bay and had the seats re trimmed!

Also sprayed the valve cover body color but we added a lil gold glitter in the mix!

and how it looked last week! Swopped out the jetta front for the raylle front!

Now it has no doors and no fender on the passenger side! The dash is also in, and the motor is almost done!
I managed to find the bracket i was short of for the p/s pump!

i have a few sets of wheels for her! Thers a set of teledials, 928's and a 17" rh replica! But will worry about that closer to the time!
also have new plastic trim right around (wheel arches ,side skirts, bumpers)! I can only fit these goodies after the bodywork! So tom is
fuel pump day! and Saturday can be belt day! I should be started by Monday! if all goes well.......

Anyway hope you guys like it! I want it to look good when its done! Its good practice for my MK II Vr6 build!

Thanks for taking the time to view my thread!

cheers amish!

here are a few more pictures, i'm just happy we making progress, been assisted by one
of my friends! We need 1 more water pipe and i need to give the electrics a check!
After that we should be ready for start up!
Still need an airbox thou!

I mean compared to how it looked when we pushed it in!

Also tested fitted the potential wheels, just to check the rubbing issues!
I used a 10mm spacer to correct the offset! ^_^

i can't wait to put this car on the road!

Also got the fender back from body shop its such a tease i can't wait after the nitty gritty is done
its back in the body shop for all the finishing touches!

Here is a small preview of wat i'm building up!

Cheers Amish

As everyone else have said, very nice project. I really like the tan interior, and I also like your wheels. Any information on make and size of the wheel?
