Default 16x9 rears on a golf I??

Anybody have experience with doing this? I have some beautiful BBS RS in 16x8 and 16x9 that would look AMAZING on my car... anybody have a clue how much work this will be?

i don't know how low your car is
i think it would give problems on the rear, because you need adapters too i think
very nice wheels though, but not on a mk 1

I am working on some BIG MAMA bump-stops and totally different springs. I also plan on having the fenders pulled and rolled....

i have porsche's 8x16 an 9x16 under my mk1 and the et is 52,3.
with spacer of 25mm it wil fitt under your mk1.

damn et11, i think that won't work with spacers.

option 2:
make new holes in the wheels.
take a center ring that will fitt in the bbs wheels and take a 20mm spacer 4x100 that will fitt in the inside of the center ring.
take a drill and make 4 new holes.

but first put the 9x16 against the brake..., so you kan see if it is realy going to fitt before drilling new holes.

i hope you understand what i'm saying.

regards, berry

I'm with you 90%... re-drilling the wheels I get, but what do you mean about the center ring?
thanks!

well to get the center of the 4x100 spacer in the middel of the center of the porsche wheels.
so you can drill trough the 4x100 spacer holes, and know there on the right spot.
take a look at the attachments, mabey that would help
