Default Gathering Swallowtail VINs/pics for Dan Reid's swallowtail.info. I need your help!

Even though I don't own an ST (missed by 1month--mine is a 3/76 build), I've offered to help Dan gather VINs/pics of any ST's that currently aren't on his swallowtail.info. I want to make a resource listing of all the ST's in the world.

If you don't see your (or someone you know) ST VIN/pic on this page, please either post her or email me a VIN #, your first name, color name/code(ie L10A) and pic(s) to mk216v at yahoo dot com.

http://www.reid.org/~dreid/Swa...s.htm

Here is the VIN breakdown on the owners... we have some VERY old swallowtails!

174 300 0037 - Josef J - 10/31/1973!!! This car isa one of a kind PRE-production car from VW! Notice the sliding door! THis car is one of the very few exceptions to the rule that "there was no such thing as a 74"

Well, I feature in that list a number of times (I'm 'Stijn K'), and in the meanwhile I've added another swallowtail to my collection which I've never added to the list.

Its a miami blue 75 Golf Basic, I dont know the VIN but I'll post it tomorrow.

see the first 3 numbers from his VIN...so,...what do you think...?

;-)

(yes he has also one)

i know about a few people from the German Golf 1 community of interest (here infopage)who also own swallowtails, but i don't know that those owners want sent pics + info from their cars to you, maybe you can ask them also by yourself in their forum/board, you can ask them in english, that's possible, or, of course, in your best german language "swallowtail" is in german "Schwalbenschwanz" btw.

Sorry about my bad english btw, my english is not that good as my german

Hello,

like i said earlier, you can also write there in english, many german members there from the Golf 1 IG (community of interest) can read your english, and can also answer in english to your question.

It's always better to ask by yourself there, so give it a try.

As it fails I can still help.

Regards,
René

Hello again,

@mk216v: i was forgotten, there is a register on the site from the Golf 1 IG, it's possible to aply filters there, i have filtered for you cars from the early years (1974 + 1975 also) with pics (there are also entrys without pics) and actually held by the creator of the entry (there are also entrys with cars who are sold, scrapped or stolen) but i have also filtered for you the cars who are actually held by the creators of the entrys WITH pics: http://www.golf1-ig.de/service/regi...lter=1&offset=0

it's possible to contact some creators, like this one: klick

or not, like this one: klick
