Default European Nostalgia - Not 70s Retro Nostalgia!

Hi all

Im new on here, but not on other VW forums, Im Stu from the UK and I organise Nostalgia Displays at the UK shows. Im interested in finding some of the old show cars that were part of the European scene. Can you help?

Does anyone on here own a show car that you may of taken off the show circuit when you retired your car from shows?

Has your aircooled been in any magazines, such as Super VWs, Hot VWs, VW Trends, Volksworld etc?

Im interested with cars from 1985 - 1998 only, they can be Cal Look, Resto Cal, Baja, Buggie, Full Custom, Stock. Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and type 4.

If you know of any aircooled cars, that you owned or a friend in your club owns, please contact me at

nostalgiabackto89@yahoo.co.uk or post below. Would love to hear from you all.

Cheers guys, this is one of my displays at Santa Pod Raceway in 2003.

Stu

Sure you do!

This one is the other side of the strip near lane, as the above pic was taken as the cars were being lined up.

Over 30 cars made it over to the strip for the parade, after the display in the show n shine at Bug Jam 2003.

Over 130 X feature and show cars now on the books, many legends from the UK and have had world wide coverage.

First Buggy - the X Brian Burrows Beach Buggy featured issue 1 Volksworld

White Buggy - was the Vwertigo monster Baja, Kev changed it and put a buggy shell and some nitros. hehehe.

Resto Cals next

Nujacks Green and White resto cal featured in VW Motoring and features many details.

X Karen Monk blue Resto Cal - this was the cover star of Volksworld issue 1 in 1987.

Followed by the red Old School of Max Morley of Highgate.

Hello Ploon, finally made it on here. Is this the best place for the thread. I have to admit that ive done other variations on other parts of the forum.

I think I know the vert. Did it have some artistic murials on it, like under the arches? It doesnt matter the condition thats the biggest part of Nostalgia, if its changed or in primer or the filler has cracked it really isnt a problem. Its to know where they are now.

I will have a hunt for a pic, of what I think it is. Could be wrong.

Once the threads have gathered some pace, I will attach the shopping list. Let the forum users get used to me first!

Dahems have been back in touch again today, and a shopping list has been sent to Jorgen. So interest has already started, my friend had a club nite in Norway last Monday and is getting back to me with those leads.

Now have a french contact, but she wasnt sure if her contact in France could go back far enough.

Thanks Ploon and keep this on your favs for a few weeks, to see how it all unravels.

I found some early Super VWs so that should add to my shopping list of cars that im after.

Anyone else out there know of any cars that were in your VW scene?

he didn't mention murals, just a red diy convertable. the filler he used on the engine lid was from a can that had gone off, hence the crack in the paint.

since this thread is the most advanced of the ones you've started i'll place this one in general aircooleds and close up the rest. otherwise it'll get cluttered and no-one can find his posts back anymore

That attachment was deleted because that whole thread was deleted because of duplicates:

so no need fopr swearing in here
Attachments don't just disappear, but think again before you crosslink to an attachment, cause the owner and mods can delete that post and thus the attachment..

It's always better to put it in the photogallery!
