Default keep the SUNNY side up

Quote:
Some auto enthusiasts happened to be walking past their local Nissan dealer and were surprised to see a Ferrari badge peaking out at them from a crumpled wreck in the corner of the shop. On closer inspection they noticed the car was a complete write-off, but that it was also missing its drivetrain. Then they noticed a group of five mechanics huddled around a sporty looking Sunny (Sentra) on the other end of the garage. You can probably guess what they found when they sauntered over for a closer look. The newly-mid-engine Nissan Sunny has had quite a power upgrade. With twice as many cylinders and roughly 380 hp to play with, this F355-engined pocket rocket should be quite a wild ride. We hope they add a little rear ventilation in the extreme makeover.

A customer and good friend of our distributor in Finland, a Ferrari specialist, is busy with building the same 355 engine in an Alfa 147 - in the front! Typical Finnish reaction when my eyes popped: "Well, it's quite a compact engine, we only have to do some minor adjustments to the steering rack and some other little things..."

Viperwin, I still think it will have understeer, understeer and understeer. Suppose the radiator would go in the back?

RWD conversion Progress at that moment was as far as getting the car ready for the engine and drivetrain. Ferrari V8 is not much larger and above all lighter than a 3.2 GTA 6 cilinder so I suppose cooling will stay in the front. I'll ask if there are some new details and pictures...

Okay, but I guess most of the engine will be in front of the front axle. If you look at the RS4, same principle due to quattro not that much understeer. RWD might make the car not to behave understeered but it does make me wonder...

Anyhow, would be nice if you could post some pic's!

@ Pedaalemmer, indeed I was talking about the new model. Not the old one with the V6.

As much as the previous model? Anyway, I would be amazed if that 147 doesn't have understeer.
