legal to import? No dope cars then :-)

that would be Polo.

could be ok, but is 1990'ish, so to young

this will do:

which looks a bit like this from the front end:

Mind you,. if you would like to make it a go faster machine, throw away all you know about golf tuning,.. the big engines just won't fit,. and if you make it fit: you won't be makin corners..

BUT: weight is low, so with a ported 1300 with decent carbs (2 twin solex/weber/dellorto) you'll say bye bye to all them standard cars... and If you can't win it on the straight,.. take a corner and wave :-)

Yeah right.... Douwe,. Pleaze..

WHAT WHERE YOU THINKIN!? Another nice fine Audi50 gone from it's native continent.. Let's go export them things, as you don't see (m)any of them on the road over here either!

But hell: maybe Douwe is thinkin about selling his little power machine?

(guy in car IS actually him)

Audi 50, production 1974 till 1978 (yeah, not 1979)
Same as VW Polo mk1 and same as VW Derby mk1: The Derby is an Audi50 with boot: see the last piccie just above, there's an orange derby on the right).

The Piccies I showed you are of the Polo mk2 : production 1981 till 1990. Prices of a 'really good maintained' about 2000 euro's. Higher (with high-horsie engine , for example a G40 (yeah, the first g-charger), with a stock power output of 113 BHP, and faster as a stock A2 GTI are available (rare) on ebay.de BUT they are on sale in 'used' condition from 1 euro till about 500 :-) The 'good' ones without to many repairs on hold vary between 500 and 1000.

I know one for sale, 1989'er. 1.3 liter NZ engine ( 55 horsies ) which isn't that bad (I guess): some interieur leaks, so moist, with fungus, but that can be cleaned. Lots o green stuff on the outside (wasn't washed the last few years, and nobody drove it either)..
for 250 euro's

Oeps.. wrong piccie :-)

It should be this one:
