i'm after some advice on doing a VR6 conversion to my 1989 MK2 GTi

i have heard that if the car is after 1990 then the wiring just plugs in ??

If you will add the mkIII vr6 dashboard in your MkII, then you won't need to change you're wiring.. just put the whole MKIII wiring in you're mkII...

cool that's what i wanted to hear

i want to use the MK3 stearing column because it is adjustable , with the hazard light switch on the column too

does any one know what type of job fitting a MK3 dash to a MK2 is ??

just bolt in or is it a lot of fabrication and cutting ??

Don't worry about the wiring it pretty much plugs together, just the front and rear lights to do.
good luck anyway, worth a try!
£1350 for the 24v only done 12000 miles

P.S. I have converted a Mk1 golf to run a 12v Vr6 in the past.
An early pic during build
