To say the true, they aren't really expensive (95-97 model), but the problem is the maintenance.... all the external pieces are imported, and the VR6 motor pieces also.
They cost about R$17.000,00, or US$5.500,00... but to find one in good shape needs time...

You pay 17.000 Reais on a good 35i 1996 like FDL said...Price of entry-level 0km cars...the maintenance is a pain in the ass...Cuz usually you'll don't find parts or need to wait to receive that especific part, sometimes you need to wait a lot...and it's very expensive...

To you understand better:
VW GOL fuel pump = 300 Reais
VW GOLF III fuel pump = 1.200 Reais
VW Passat 35i VR6 fuel pump = up 2.000 Reais (i'll ask to lucas to know the real price)

Just for curiosity, la macchina Alfa Romeo 164 Super V6 24v 1996 with full extras is cheaper than Passat...15.000 Reais ou even Less...The price of a good Passat 35i 2.0...

Italian build quality and durability hehehehe...

Speedlaw...There was a VR6 GT and VR6 Exclusiv, isn't it ?

Actually in Brazil, brand new Passat 3BG V6 FWD with full options costs something like 120.000 Reais...

Of the B4 variety (which this one is ove of) there was a VR6 GL and a VR6 Exclusive. The VR6 GL was just a GL with the big engine, the Exclusive had almost all options. The GT was not available with the VR6, the 2.0-16V was the biggest engine with GT trim level.

Is the inside stock?

Do you guys get the climatronic standard?

I have a 1996 Passat TDI Variant...so it's the same model.

What about these tail lights, could you get a pic at night?

The flashers and backing lights are really clear, not the same as on mine.

Does the steering has an airbag, it's not the same as mine...

In Brazil even on 2 liter GL version has airbag, abs, climate control as standard...

Passat GL 2.0 tag price in Brazil was $ 30.000 us dollars in 1995...

Probably just the sun that makes them look that clear.

My brother has a 96 Passat as well (a 2.0 Variant). He has the same steering wheel, the only difference is that it is leather covered in this VR6, regular plastic in my brother's Variant.
