ahh thank you very much , I was not so concerned with doing a perfect resto and was faced with much higher prices for the brake rebuild on the pre 58 front end I'd rather save the 56 unit and offer it to a restorer and benefit from more readily available and cheaper parts plus the wider brake drums may give better braking lol,not by much but I'll take what I can get. nice to find an active form here wish it was a little closer but the states are starting to drag the older vws out of there hiding places ,its about time. thanks for your help
