oops, sorry for using french language only. Your translation seems to be an automatic one, here is the official version by the author:

Welcome to this forum!

I am a newbie here, too. I stumbled across your posting during a Google search for articles referring to Passat in France. You are right, there are not too many in your country. I am german but my goodl old Passat (1982) has made several trips to France.

You have a nice car. Rust on the rear sidewalls is almost normal. But there are repair sheets available, they are not too expensive but you need welding and painting. Concerning your doors (especially the front doors), there is no rust on the bottom parts?

I don't think that you speak german but there are two great websites about the Passat 32b:

www.passatclassic.de
www.passat-kartei.de

The latter one is the website of the semi-officiel union of Passat 32/32b drivers, there are some real specialists!

I am just going to brighten up my car a little (with the help of a competent repairman), it has just 30 years and I can register it as a "vintage car" in german, provided that it is in a quite acceptable shape.
