my dads new disaster... i mean build :)
long story, shorter. Back in the mid 70's my father and his friend built this bug/squareback. the body work is/was shoddy, but thats not what he cares about. His friend gave the car to my brother about 8 years ago basically sitting the way you see it. Well my brother got married and now has a kid so the car has sat. my dad traded him one of his dune buggy builds for this. It will be Chevy Corvair powered. It has cleaned up a little bit, but this was the only pic i had right now. Good luck to him haha.
He isn't into the scene that much, just loves working on cars in his retired spare time and works on very small budget, using parts he has at his lying around. few of his other projects Berry Mini T - corvair powered, built on a shortened T1 chassis 74 thing. bought in a salvage yard for $50, built for beach driving.. also corvair powered |
Nice paddles on that Thing!
Good luck to your dad on that type...2? :) Wish we had the luxury of Corvair engines littering every boneyard... |
