Mister Cool 30-05-2007 22:07

Damn... :woowoo:

RubenD 30-05-2007 22:30

He has some great skills! Hope I can do stuff like that in a few months (when I wil have time enough to practice welding...).

Melvin 30-05-2007 22:45

Forgot to talk English (again!)... He has some great skills, but i'm not digging the looks of his project (yet)...

RubenD 30-05-2007 23:02

I'm quitte sure the front will look nice -> wenn the ducktail is on installed. I just don't understand why he is not using a Golf Mk1 frontend, just weld that in and start to modify it.

Since the title of this topic says: Mk1 Wagon

I was thinking about a "strechted" Golf Mk1 or rebuild Jetta Coupe with Golf Mk1 rearend. So I'm hoping he will install a Golf Mk1 rearhatch

@ Melly: you indeed have trouble with the section system...

Tjaap 31-05-2007 19:02

yeh me neither (about the front end) seems simpeler then all the fiberwork and the rest of the car is all metal too... then again.. mk1 round headlight fronts aren't a dime-a-dozen in the US either

It's still a Fox, and as such, is the VW Parati from Brasil which was sold as the VW Fox in USA/Canada. The Fox sedan is the VW Voyage from Brasil, they are both variations of the VW Gol

(I may have mixed the Brasilian names)

hey thats my car

Hey guys just thought I would say hi. This is my car. I am still working on it everyday. i would have liked to do the front end in metal too. (still might) as for fitting a mk1 metal front end ? it wasn't even close to fitting.

Tjaap 01-06-2007 19:46

keep us updated ;)

RubenD 02-06-2007 01:01

I have been welding a bit too, today. It is really hard to get it the way I exactly want it to be (check my project -> link is in my signature). I respect you work a lot.

But I was thinking, you are spending so much energy on that car, why not weld in a Golf mk1 front end (and where I was talking about, rear end aswell ;) )?

Anyhow, keep us updated and have fun building your ride!

Nice project, takes a lot of imagination jus to come up with that! Great skills, and the colour's just fine like that

won't fit, fox is really something else as a mk1, comes closer to a passat than a golf..

bannedwagon 03-06-2007 07:18

so I reshaped the front and glassed it again

I found the eye brows in my parts storage. just thought i would see how they look

Tjaap 03-06-2007 14:38

loose the brows (IMHO)
love how the duckbill fits, but it really does need that little grill under the main one you have planned.. just a little too clean now...

Pedaalemmer 03-06-2007 15:55

Nice, but it`s still missing the MK1 frontlook
