1990 Corrado V60 Fuel Problem
 

Would MOST appreciate help, internet sites, forums, etc where I could find troubleshooting help for this problem:

Car has been sitting for 10 months without starting. Now it it will start and run fine only if I hand feed gas to the intake. Checked fuses, replaced fuel filter and will have new relay tomorrow...can't tell if the pump is working and have searched on line without luck, for a reliable diagram and for troubleshooting help. Would like to know ALL things to check before replacing pump and if there is a way to test the pump before replacing - MUCH APPRECIATED....dave

You should be able to hear the pump, but you can also connect plus and minus leads to it directly from the battery (or different 12V source), to see if it works or not. Just remember that on VWs, the brown wire is the negative earth.
