HAHA thats a good one ,next time no license plate :)

Lexo 27-07-2007 14:31

Then, how about this one:

And with 2 extra doors ;)

Small hint, it's a VW whit a 1.0Turbo engine!

VWRopie 27-07-2007 14:36

Well it looks like a VW with that Golf 4 looking front, but it isn't a Golf 4. So i guess it will be a chinese or Southern America VW like the Gol or Citygolf or something...

Lexo 27-07-2007 14:46

Quite right, it's a VW Gol!

Tjaap 27-07-2007 14:58

1st one is a Gol 2nd is a Parati, i think.. although it might be called Gol in Mexico i think.

Tjaap 27-07-2007 15:00

and indeed, the first one is a Glas, company was bought by BMW in the late 70's

M.I.V.W 27-07-2007 15:51

And this one,

Stijn 27-07-2007 16:10

VW Saveiro

PerL 27-07-2007 16:59

FDL 27-07-2007 23:32

THIS is what I call a challenge...

What car is it AND what company made this to it?!?

Tjaap 27-07-2007 23:43

GOL Cabrio? Ronal rims, cabby roll-over bar and what looks like Polo tails

evilnyntje 27-07-2007 23:47

Fox cabrio by Bieber?

PerL 28-07-2007 19:26

It is a Gol Cabriolet, I would guess that it is Karmann Ghia do Brasil who built this.

Yes, Karmann had a Brasilian daughter company called Karmann Ghia. They, of course, built the Karmann Ghias for VW down there.

berendd 28-07-2007 20:57

the link to the swedish vägverket (roadworks) similar to the dutch rijkswaterstaat and rdw combined, the handle everything that has to do with traffic.

http://www.vv.se/

and the direct link to the reg nr page:
https://www21.vv.se/fordonsfraga/

if the link doesn't work follow the next steps

to find a car matching to a number plate, click Fordon (vehicle) in the left menu
then on the fordon page, click Sök fordons- & ägaruppgift (search vehicle and owner registration) in the left menu
on the next page click Sök uppgifter om annat fordon (search registration of other vehicle)

Very cool, thanks a lot. Wish we had something similar on the net here in Norway.

Almost there...

Yes, it's a Gol Cabrio, but the company that built it was called DACON. It was a VW Dealer that in the mid-80's used to do mods on original VWs according to the market reception.... for example:

Passat 180 D (821):

(It's a passat fastback transformed into sedan)

Passat 180 T (822):

(Passat fastback transformed into TARGA!!)

And finally the only two examples of passat wagon made by Dacon (was never sold):

Dacon also built the 828, a mini car based on the Porsche 928:

PerL 30-07-2007 16:08

Cool, thanks for the info! Do you know anything more about that 828? The only thing I can think of is "how the hell did they get the Porsche V8 into a car that small?" :screwy: :D
